CAMP ADGE Developer Conference, October 1999

The 18th technical conference on AutoCAD application development, CAMP ADGE, will take place on Saturday, October 9, 1999 in Barcelona, Spain. The technical conferences on Autocad are organized by ADGE, the AutoCAD Developers Group Europe. ADGE is an independent association of software developers working on branch or client-specific applications around AutoCAD.
The conference will directly follow the Autodesk-organized ADN technical conference. This allows developers to easily attend the most important events during the second half of this year. Novo Nordisk hosts AutoCAD Developer Conference

Novo Nordisk, a world leader in insulin and diabetes care, opened its premises in Copenhagen/Denmark to host the 17th international conference on AutoCAD application development. Developers from 10 European countries attended the tehnical conference organized by the AutoCAD Developers Group Europe (ADGE).
Main topics in the AutoCAD world today are ObjectARX applications creating and linking intelligent objects to form real-world models. Amongst the most complicated themes in this context is the duplication of intelligence between different drawings, the so-called cloning. Various speeches concentrated on this critical topic.
In addition the two days allowed the software engineers to exchange ideas and to discuss newest technology like Java or ActiveX Controls to be used in AutoCAD add-ons. And in addition to these future trends, also today's present was covered in detail: application development in LISP or DIESEL.

AutoCAD Developers Elect their Board

During the 17th technical conference on AutoCAD programming, the members of the AutoCAD Developers Group Europe (ADGE) elected the new board of the association.
New (and former) president is Mr. Beat Fehr, general manager of CADiware AG, a Swiss developer of AutoCAD add-ons. Also re-elected were the vice-presidents, Mr. Robert Rottermann of RoCAD Development and Mr. Jeremy Tammik of Mensch und Maschine Software AG.
